Setup Procedure for an Opolis Workgroup

The Opolis Workgroup feature is a useful tool to send an Opolis Email to an individual who is not yet an Opolis User

Of course, the originator of an Opolis Workgroup must be an already existing Opolis User.

What is required

  • Originator of an Opolis Workgroup must be an existing Opolis User
  • For each future member of the Opolis Workgroup a personal valid E-Mail Address (other than from a free provider, such as Yahoo, Gmail or Hotmail)
  • Windows XP/Vista or 7; Apple OS X 10.5 or 10.6

What you need to do – Please read carefully

  • To start with, you must be logged into Opolis via the Opolis Mail Client, otherwise the Setup Procedure for an Opolis Workgroup will not work
  • Repeat the following procedure for each member of the Opolis Workgroup till the list is complete

  1. Freely choose a personal Opolis Log In Name (minimum of 8 letters / digits) for the new member
  2. Submit the new member´s personal valid E-Mail Address (which must be other than from a free provider)
  3. Submit some additional information for the new member´s Opolis Account
  4. The new member´s Opolis Account will be automatically created
  5. The Opolis Account details (Opolis Log In Name and Opolis Password) for each member of the Opolis Workgroup will be sent to your – the originator´s - own Opolis Account

The newly established Opolis Account for the new participant of the Opolis Workgroup can be used immediately:

  • You can immediately send Opolis messages to the new member(s) of the Opolis Workgroup
  • The new members of the Opolis Workgroup can immediately access their Opolis Account once the account details (Opolis Log In Name and Opolis Password) have been communicated by the originator of the Opolis Workgroup
  • for this purpose you just need to search for the name of the new member(s) of the Opolis Workgroup in the Public Address Book, click on them and a 'New Message' window will immediately open.
  • PLEASE NOTE: New members of the Opolis Workgroup should immediately change the Opolis Password of their respective Opolis Account.
